Otavalo Market: Ecuador tour to an indigenous market: Travel to one of Ecuador's most important cultural attractions and visit the “plaza de ponchos” in the northern Andes mountain range.
Stay in a Rural Community: You will have the opportunity to stay at one of our community lodges and spend time with an indigenous family. You will be invited to participate in their everyday activities, to help take care of livestock or help farming the fields.
Hiking: Cuicocha Lake: Hike around this bright blue colored crater lake and enjoy beautiful scenery, enhanced by the local flora and the possibility of spotting local animals.
Horseback Riding: Cuicocha: Horseback riding to visit local communities and enjoy the landscape around the Cuicocha Lake.
Downhill Mountain Biking: A unique off the beaten path adventure, this downhill bike ride, starting at 3200m, will take you down through cloud forest and end at 1200m above sea level.Hot springs, waterfalls and archaeological sites enhance our quest.
Hacienda Stay: Visit small villages and the Otavalo Indigenous Market. Spend the night at an hacienda that is several hundred years old and full of history. The next day we visit the Cuicocha Crater Lake.
Quito & Surroundings: Quito, the Ecuadorian capital, combines the Inca with the Spanish architecture. The Middle of the World presents the visitant with culture, leisure and adventure in the surroundings.
Airport Transfers: A Latin Trails representative will be waiting for you and accompany you to/from the airport. For Galapagos, Amazon, Cuenca or beach departures, our guide will introduce you to our representative that will have your airline tickets at the airport.
City Tour (Teleferico): Historic plazas, buildings, and churches display a fascinating mixture of Spanish and indigenous architecture. Visit the teleférico (“Quito from the sky”).
City Tour (Equator): Visit the colonial center and then make the short trip to the Middle of the World Monument, 30 minutes north of Quito. Optional visit to the Intiñan Museum.
Pre-Galapagos Package: We offer 2 in / 2 out transfers, a city tour and 2 nights’ hotel stay at the hotel of your choice. Includes breakfast daily.

Canopy (Full Day): Feel the adrenaline to be suspended at above a height of 30 meters. Travel along a 300m steel cable over El Salto River.
Papallacta (Full Day): Papallacta is definitely a relaxing natural paradise. East of Quito , Papallacta's hot springs will be vital for the relax and comfort. Activities like hiking, birding and horseback riding are also available.
Mindo Cloudforest (1 Day): Northwest of Quito you will find the valley of Mindo and its cloud forest, containing an extensive flora and fauna including medicinal plants, birds, butterflies, reptiles, and mammals. You may visit a Butterfly Farm or Orchid Garden, and if you take the cable car across the creek, you can walk and swim by waterfalls.

Whitewater Rafting (1 Day): We travel west down through beautiful cloud forest to the shores of the river. You can expect both the action of thrilling whitewater and the tranquility of drifting silently through tropical rainforests.
Whitewater Rafting (2 Days): The Double Run: two days of rafting west of Quito. Expect both the action of thrilling whitewater and the tranquility of drifting silently through tropical rainforests. Spend the night at a hosteria along the river.
Basic Quito A (3 Days): Quito, the Ecuadorian capital, combines the Incaic with the Spanish architecture. The Middle of the World presents the visitant with culture, leisure and adventure in the surroundings. Meet with the history. You won't like to leave it again!
Basic Quito B (4 Days): Quito, the Ecuadorian capital, combines the Inca with the Spanish architecture. The Middle of the World presents the visitant with culture, leisure and adventure in the surroundings. Meet with the history. You won't like to leave it again! Visit the Otavalos Market and contemplate the majesty of the indigenous people and the tradidional food.
Basic Quito C (5 Days): The Middle of the World combines modernisation with the past. Baroque and neo-gothic style churches, Spanish architecture. Definitely, a place of history and traditions. If you want adrenaline and nature, Mindo is the right place.
Central Andes: The imposing and majestic Andes offers the visitant the pleasure to contemplate the most beautiful mountains and volcanoes in the world.
Baños (Waterfalls): Baños Amazon Gateway: visit the “Avenue of Waterfalls" and the famous Salasacan Weavers and enjoy the cloud forest and hot springs around this quaint village.
Cotopaxi & Baños: Cotopaxi Volcano, Baños and the "Avenue of the Waterfalls" are fascinating places full of culture and natural beauty
Cotopaxi Downhill Ride: Enjoy a downhill biking adventure in Cotopaxi National Park, less than two hours south of Quito. Descend the slopes of the volcano at a moderate pace as you appreciate the nature scenes around you, which include views of several snow-capped volcanoes. With some luck you might just spot a condor! Return to Quito after the descent.
Cotopaxi & Markets: The Cotopaxi Province is one of the most authentic in the country with small indigenous villages spread around its Andean landscape. Here you will have a chance to view the majestic volcano that gave the province its name, and visit small indigenous markets.
