Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival In La Paz
Arrive in La Paz, one of the highest cities in the world at 3,600 meters (11,800 feet) above sea level. You will be welcomed by your guide who will provide a detailed itinerary and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day acclimatizing to the altitude or exploring the city at your leisure. Overnight in La Paz.
Day 2 : Tiwanaku And La Paz City Tour
After breakfast, embark on a guided tour to the Tiwanaku Archaeological Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most important pre-Incan civilizations. Explore the Akapana Pyramid, Semi-Subterranean Temple, Kalasasaya Temple, Sun Gate, and the iconic Ponce Monolith. The tour concludes with a visit to the Puma Punku Complex, famous for its finely cut stones and mysterious origins.
In the afternoon, continue with a La Paz City Tour. Visit the Pedro Murillo Main Square, Cathedral, Legislative Palace, and Precious Metals Museum (closed on Mondays). Enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the Killi Killi Viewpoint. Afterward, visit the unique Moon Valley, where erosion has shaped the clay mountains into a dramatic, otherworldly landscape. Day 3 : La Paz To Sun Island (lake Titicaca) And Copacabana
Start the day with an early breakfast and transfer to the bus station for a scenic journey to Copacabana (3,810 meters). Along the way, you’ll cross the Tiquina Strait by motorboat. Upon arrival in Copacabana, take a boat to Sun Island, a place steeped in Inca history. Visit the Pilcokaina Palace, then enjoy a traditional Apthapi lunch, featuring local ingredients such as potatoes, eggs, and dried corn.
After lunch, take a scenic walk to the Community of Yumani, where you will visit the Inca Garden, the Sacred Fountain of the Incas, and the famous Yumani Stairway. After returning to Copacabana, visit the Catholic Church and Local Market before heading back to La Paz. Overnight in La Paz.
Day 4 : Departure From La Paz
